How to Activate

Once equipped, you can light your torch by:

• Controller: Hold down on the D-pad[1][3]
• Keyboard: Press R key[3] Use the same controls to extinguish the torch.

Getting a Torch

You can acquire a torch through several methods:

• Purchase from traders in major settlements[1]
• Loot from defeated bandits or enemies[5]
• Find them in most general stores for around 5.9 Groschen[9]

Important Notes

• Torches must be equipped in the inventory slot below your shoes[7]
• They can be used alongside one-handed weapons[5]
• Torches don't have durability and won't break[3]
• Guards require you to carry a lit torch in settlements at night to avoid suspicion[1]
• Walking without a torch in settlements after dark may result in guards becoming aggressive
